DO YOU KNOW WHAT DEBUGGING MEANS? How a tiny moth helped shape the language of technology is not what you think 💬🤔

In 1947, Harvard University's Mark II computer was experiencing a malfunction. The team of engineers, was stumped. They searched high and low for the problem, but couldn't find anything obvious(coding language sometimes ⭐).

That's when they discovered a moth stuck in one of the computer's relays. The moth was literally causing the computer to malfunction!

The team removed the moth, and the computer was back up and running. From that day on, whenever the team encountered a problem, they would say they were "debugging" the computer.

The term "bug" has stuck in the tech industry ever since, and it's fascinating to think about how a tiny moth helped shape the language of technology.

so now you know
